In this Elder Scrolls Online guide, we’ll be examining a Necromancer Stamina DPS Build that can achieve over 50k+ DPS on an Iron Atronach Trial dummy, and over 35k+ DPS on a regular 3 million Health dummy. This build is designed for PvE group play and relies on teammates to increase survivability while you deal massive damage. Let’s dive into the Stamina DPS Necromancer build, suitable for group play in PvE contexts.
Build Concept
The build incorporates a standard Stamina DPS setup coupled with Necromancer DPS abilities morphed into their Stamina variants. High DPS is attained by rotating Necromancer abilities combined with Dual Wield and Bow skills. Most Stamina DPS builds use Dual Wield on the front bar and Bow on the back bar; this build follows suit as it works optimally for our purposes. Instead of elemental damage, Venom Skull, Blighted Blastbones, and Detonating Siphon deal Disease and Poison damage, perfect for Stamina DPS.
Attributes and Skills
Allocate your attribute points with around 15 into Health and the rest into Stamina. This allocation improves survivability while maintaining high DPS numbers. Regarding abilities, your front bar consists of a Dual Wield and Necromancer combination, inflicting Bleed and Poison Damage over Time (DoTs), in addition to dealing significant direct damage. The back bar features various abilities for enhanced DPS outcomes.
Ultimate Abilities
- Flawless Dawnbreaker: This ultimate is popular for DPS builds because it grants passive weapon damage while slotted. Use this on the front bar.
- Pestilent Colossus: A high-damage Disease ultimate that applies Major Vulnerability after each strike. Use this frequently for maximizing damage. Morphed from Frozen Colossus.
Stamina DPS Race
Any race that impacts stamina is suitable for this build, with Redguard and Khajiit being the top choices. Redguard offers a +2000 Max Stamina boost, reduces the cost of Weapon Abilities by 8%, and restores 950 Stamina every 5 seconds when dealing direct damage. Khajiit, besides improving all three resources and recovery rates, increases Critical Damage and Healing by 10%. Alternatives like Imperial, Dunmer, and Bosmer are viable; however, Imperial comes out as the best choice among them.
Champion Skills
Champion Skills contribute to this build’s effectiveness, although points are limited. To maximize the impact of Champion Skills, opt for the recommended setup provided in the original post.
Gear (Weapons, Armor & Jewelry)
Our weapon combination comprises Dual Weapons on the front bar and a Bow on the back bar. Opt for Maelstrom Bow on the back bar to improve the Endless Hail ability. Many armor sets can be used for this build, ranging from beginner-friendly options like Hunding’s Rage, Briarheart, and Night Mother’s Embrace, to more advanced sets like Scavenging Demise, Pillar of Nirn, Archer’s Mind, and others. For Monster Sets, Velidreth, Slimecraw, and Selene work best with this setup. Utilize Heavy Monster Sets to gain additional health.
Final Thoughts
Overall, Stamina Necromancer DPS builds are moderately stronger than their Magicka counterparts, making them enjoyable to execute due to dynamic DPS rotations. Although this build is intended for PvE group play, consider adding healing abilities such as Summoner Armor, Hungry Scythe, Resistant Flesh, or Resolving Vigor for solo contexts. Lastly, Mundus Stones that work best are Shadow and Tower, with Shadow being more efficient once you’ve mastered the rotation.
