You begin with a generic augmentation setup and a pool of unassigned Praxis, so the first real decision is how much freedom you want later. A combat-heavy setup can work, but stealth, hacking, mobility, and environmental access give you more answers to the DLC’s actual problems.

Blade Plaza is not filler. It is a compact hub with hidden items, side entrances, apartments, and early Praxis opportunities. Before you chase the main marker into the bank job, look for ladders, apartments, movable objects, locked side spaces, and alternate routes. The mission rewards players who build Jensen before the real security layers begin.

Inside Palisade Blade, slow down and think in systems. A locked office may have a keypad, a vent path, a computer, a security terminal, a password trail, or an augmentation solution. Before committing to the deeper objective chain, sweep Blade Plaza for early upgrade value. There are useful Praxis opportunities before the story really tightens, and one route specifically benefits from being able to move heavy objects. If you rush straight from the metro to the next conversation, you leave power on the table.

Use the plaza like a miniature Deus Ex hub. Check ladder icons, corners behind shops, second-story access, apartment interiors, and anything that looks like it might hide a maintenance route. Even a single extra upgrade can be the difference between a clean security bypass and a messy alert later.

3. Build for Stealth Even on an Easy Difficulty

There is no difficulty-related achievement pressure, so you can pick a comfortable combat setting. That does not mean you should ignore stealth. The server area includes a gas-filled room, and the comfortable answer is Implanted Rebreather. If you skip that upgrade, you can still move quickly, but your margin for searching drops. Decide before the server farm whether you want the safer utility pick or a faster, riskier grab.

Start by slowing the room down. Look for security hubs and use them to remove as many devices as possible. If a camera or drone remains active, Remote Hacking or EMP ammo can create a safe window. Move from cover to cover instead of trying to sprint the whole space on instinct.

When a room is gas-filled, do not overstay unless you have the right augmentation. Go in with a purpose, identify the interaction point or pickup, and leave before curiosity turns into damage. This is also the best place to be disciplined about optional casework. Read office computers, inspect desks, and check pocket secretaries before advancing to the next main marker. System Rift is compact enough that missing one piece can be frustrating, because you may not realize it until the route has already moved forward.
