Arena Breakout: Infinite Beginner Tips - Extraction, Gear, and Season 6

Arena Breakout: Infinite beginner tips for extraction, gear loss, Covert Ops, Secure Ops, Hostile Sector, maps, Koen, ammo, weather, and Season 6 caveats.

On this page

Arena Breakout: Infinite, developed and published by Morefun Studios, is a free PC tactical extraction FPS where each raid asks you to bring gear, find loot, survive other operators and AI enemies, then extract before your kit turns into someone else’s payday.

Content warning: Steam lists Arena Breakout: Infinite as Mature 17+ and notes gun shooting and violent content. This guide stays non-graphic and focused on play.

This guide is for new and returning players learning current Season 6 fundamentals. It is not a weapon tier list, ranked climb guide, exact map route sheet, store guide, secure-case guide, or current-patch economy spreadsheet.

Patch note: This guide is scoped to Season 6: White Nights / ABI 2.0. Hostile Sector, Mastery, Supply Drops, Warlord Tournament, anti-cheat, store offers, ranks, map rules, and weapon balance can change quickly.

Essential Tips

1. Plan the Extract Before the Loot

The only winning loot is loot you carry out.

Do not treat the first open container as the start of a shopping trip. Pick a goal before you deploy: complete a mission, learn a route, build Koen, test a gun, or practice a mode. Once the backpack has enough value to matter, stop asking what else you can grab and start asking how you leave.

2. Learn With Lower-Risk Modes

Use the game modes that let you make mistakes.

Covert Ops gives you a free low-level loadout, while Secure Ops can help you learn routes and hiding places with lower gear-loss pressure. Season 6 also added Hostile Sector and Supplies Drops as alternatives to standard Tactical Ops pressure. Check the mode screen before queuing, because current access rules, tickets, rewards, and event availability can change.

3. Start on Farm, Then Branch Out

Farm is the cleanest first classroom.

Official beginner messaging calls Farm a good starting map because it is tighter, shorter, and easier to learn through action. Once you understand looting, extracts, sound, and AI pressure, branch into Northridge and Valley for longer sightlines, TV Station for close-quarters fights, Armory for squad-heavy danger, and Airport after checking current Season 6 map changes.

4. Treat Sound and Weather as Intel

Rain, fog, footsteps, healing, and reloads all change decisions.

Arena Breakout: Infinite leans hard on information. Weather can cut vision or mask movement, and sound can reveal a player looting, reloading, healing, or pushing stairs. Move slower near buildings, stop before entering contested rooms, and avoid giving away your position with careless sprinting or unnecessary shots.

5. Build Around Ammo, Not Just the Gun

A fancy rifle with the wrong ammo is still a bad plan.

Weapons have recoil, ergonomics, range, velocity, and attachment choices, but ammo has damage, penetration, pierce level, and armor damage. Bring ammo that makes sense for the map and danger tier, then treat any specific weapon recommendation as patch-sensitive. The July 3 live update changed multiple weapons days after Season 6 launched.

6. Keep a Budget Kit You Can Lose

Gear fear gets worse when every raid risks your whole stash.

Have one normal kit you are comfortable losing, one cheaper recovery kit, and one better kit for clear objectives. If losing a loadout would stop you from playing the next few raids, it is too expensive for a learning run.

7. Use Contacts and Missions Early

Progression and money come faster when raids have purpose.

Contacts give missions, unlock more options as you level, and provide gear trades. Missions, dailies, weeklies, season objectives, and free reward tracks can all help you build inventory without relying only on random loot. Before selling something valuable, check whether it is needed for missions, the Trophy Room, Workbench crafting, or a near-term trade.

8. Compare Market, Trader, and Crafting Value

Koen is a system, not just a number.

The full-release economy removed direct Koen purchasing, but the game still has market, contact, store, reward, and crafting systems. Valuable loot may be better sold on the market, saved for crafting, used for a mission, or traded with a contact. Use Deke/fixed-price selling and the market deliberately, not by habit.

9. Respect Normal, Lockdown, and Forbidden

Difficulty tiers are risk tiers.

Normal is for learning, rebuilding, and low-commitment tasks. Lockdown and Forbidden raise the stakes and should change what you bring, how early you extract, and whether a fight is worth taking. If you are still learning extracts and boss areas, do not bring your best kit into the harder tier just because the loot sounds better.

10. Keep Season 6 Advice Flexible

Current systems can change quickly after launch.

Hostile Sector AI, weather impact, medical drops, Airport containers, and multiple weapon stats were adjusted on July 3, 2026. Treat Season 6 advice as a snapshot. Recheck the latest live update before trusting a route, build, rank plan, or Hostile Sector farming loop.

11. Understand Anti-Cheat Without Depending on It

Reports and compensation help, but they do not replace careful play.

Steam lists ACE as kernel-level anti-cheat, and the game includes killcam reporting plus compensation for confirmed cheat-related losses. Still, a system existing does not make every suspicious death false. Use reports when appropriate, keep recordings if you need them, and continue making normal tactical decisions.

12. Do Not Assume Full Wipes

Season resets are not automatically stash wipes.

Season 6 includes ranks, seasonal missions, rewards, and events that can change or reset. Do not assume a full Tarkov-style stash/account wipe without a current in-game notice. Keep seasonal items and rank goals patch-aware, but do not panic-sell your storage without a current official notice.

Mode and Map Habits

  1. Tactical Ops: Treat this as your main high-stakes extraction loop. Bring gear only when you have a plan for the map, objective, and exit.
  2. Covert Ops: Use the free low-level loadout to learn map flow, loot spots, AI behavior, and extraction timing without risking your main kit.
  3. Secure Ops: Use it for learning routes and testing habits if it is available in the current build; check exact gear protection and payout rules in-client.
  4. Hostile Sector: In Season 6, Farm and Northridge lean PvE-focused while TV Station retains PvPvE pressure. Check current AI and reward tuning after live updates.
  5. Supplies Drops: Use it when you want lower gear stress and team crate rules instead of standard raid loss pressure.
  6. Farm: Start here for route learning, early missions, and short extraction habits.
  7. Northridge and Valley: Expect longer sightlines, high ground, and more value from careful movement.
  8. TV Station and Armory: Prepare for dense angles, close fights, and heavier squad pressure.
  9. Airport: Treat current routes as patch-sensitive because Season 6 notes already fixed map locations and containers.

Economy and Gear Habits

  1. Carry enough, not everything: Ammo, healing, and armor matter, but overpacking shrinks profit and makes every death worse.
  2. Protect small high-value items: If you have a secure case or protected storage option active, use it for mission-critical or high-value items first.
  3. Sell with intent: Contacts are fast, the market may pay more, and crafting may be better than selling.
  4. Keep spare Koen: Do not spend down to zero on one loadout; repairs, ammo, and replacement kits keep you playing.
  5. Use missions as bankroll: Missions and weekly goals give structure and can pay while you learn.
  6. Test guns in the range: Build around range, ergonomics, recoil, and ammo before risking a new setup.
  7. Disassemble when it helps: Attachments can be more useful or valuable than a whole looted gun.
  8. Check operation-supply rules: Some rewards need to be used and extracted before market sale.
  9. Treat Battle Pass and store value carefully: Steam lists in-app and chance-based purchases, while full-release economy notes say Koen purchase was removed. Check current rewards before judging value.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  1. Do not keep looting after the raid already paid for itself - Extracting early with value is better than dying with a perfect backpack.

  2. Do not copy old weapon meta lists blindly - Season 6 and the July 3 live update changed weapons, ammo rules, and balance.

  3. Do not bring your best kit to an unknown map or mode - Learn the exits, boss areas, and common routes with cheaper gear first.

  4. Do not ignore ammo quality - Armor penetration and pierce level can decide fights before recoil control matters.

  5. Do not sprint through every building - Sound gives away your timing and direction.

  6. Do not assume Hostile Sector is harmless PvE - Farm and Northridge reduce PvP pressure in Season 6, but TV Station remains PvPvE and live rules can change.

  7. Do not sell every crafting material immediately - Trophy Room, Workbench, missions, and contact trades can turn loot into longer-term value.

  8. Do not treat in-app purchases as the economy plan - Koen purchase was removed at full release, and current store/reward details should be checked before spending.

  9. Do not mistake rank or mission resets for confirmed full wipes - Use official current notices before making stash decisions.
