Erasing is as powerful as marking here. Removing an impossible cell can reduce a line to its exact remaining count or force a local number to take its last neighbor.
8. Use Contradiction Without Clicking
When direct logic runs out, try a temporary assumption in your head or on paper. Suppose one uncertain cell is blue, then follow the consequences through the neighboring number, line header, and overlay. If the chain demands too many blue cells or violates a separation rule, the assumption is false.
Do the same for black. A cell that cannot be erased without starving a clue must be blue. This is not guessing if you do the work before committing the click.
Because the game does not provide a full temporary-mark layer, keep notes for dense puzzles. A small sketch can save a three-step chain.
